Professional courses on innovation and technology management. These are hands-on, practice-oriented courses that blends knowing and doing. These course and their content are carefully developed to meet your competence needs to help move your innovative ideas to markets
Developing innovation skills and competences require collaboration among learners and between learners and key stakeholders in the innovation environment. We create a network of learners, industry experts and research institutions as appropriate.
In our approach learners build competencies around their own ideas and projects and as much as possible taking case studies based on similar ideas. In each course learners are encouraged to undertake research and produce reports linked to their projects.
As part of developing capabilities for innovation development in Africa, FSI organises a series of face=face gatherings of innovators to discuss specific challenges faces in the innovation development process. Rather than teach innovation these gatherings
are demand driven and focus on finding common solutions to practical challenges faced by innovators at various stages of development. The clinical approach allows for a response to demand-driven needs of young innovators and entrepreneurs. The idea
is to get all stakeholders in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to respond to needs of young men and women engaged in creative initiatives.
The FSI coaching and mentorship program that develops the innovative talent of individual innovators. This may take place in a face to face session with a small group of innovators or on a one-one bases virtually. The main goal of the program is to support African innovators to accelerate the deployment or integration of home- grown technologies and to effectively develop and market new products.
FSI has put together an international pool of experienced mentors from relevant areas of science and business to help innovators design technologies that are relevant and commercially viable.
Our approach to coaching and mentoring Is to help innovators re-inforce and achieve their vision. Using their experiences, attempts, failures and successes we walk with innovators to develop their own natural strengths and potential.
